Reminiscing ~ a great way to remember special memories of the past.  Planning ahead ~ a great way to ensure special memories for the future.

Looking back, it’s hard to believe that a year has passed since I first attended the Steve Hurst School of Music last July.  At this time last year, I was getting ready to go to what I have since affectionately nicknamed, “school.”  Teachers, fellow students and a loving atmosphere has imprinted many fond memories from that week…well, I couldn’t just end the story there, could I?  So…I’m going back this year!  Getting ready to blog my way through “chapter two” of my SHSM journey!  And…I want to take you with me!  Beginning next Sunday (July the 24th) log on, and follow me as I walk through the campus of Lee University, experiencing not only Southern Gospel music, but a spiritual revival as well.  If you’ve heard Steve talk about his school, you have probably heard him say that the week is like being at a revival.  I whole heartily agree!  The Holy Spirit moves and the results are awesome – last year, a gentleman came to know the Lord while others were convinced of the need for a closer walk with their Savior.  This school isn’t just about music, it’s about Jesus.  Things are going to happen next week – and I don’t want you to miss it!  Keep up with the posts and I pray you will receive a blessing from them!  That’s why I’m calling this a “passport to revival” – the technical music stuff may only be of interest to some, but what the Spirit’s going to do will be a blessing to all.  I pray it blesses you !

P.S.  Is anyone going to the Steve Hurst School of Music this year, either as a student or for the evening concerts?  If so, be sure to let me know – I can’t wait to see you there!

About the Author

Lynn
Lynn's Chronicles is an online publication devoted to uplifting the name of Jesus Christ and supporting the industry of Southern Gospel Music! Back in 2005, I was introduced to SGM by my "adopted" grandparents, Ross and Lu, and absolutely fell in love with it! The following year, I attended 47 concerts and traveled as far as 12 hours to hear artists I enjoyed. Since then, my family and friends have encouraged me to share my experiences as I travel around to various venues, so in 2009 Lynn's Chronicles was created. As I have traveled, the Lord in his omniscience has allowed me to meet many of my readers! There's no greater blessing than to sit next to someone at a concert, then find out they are one of my readers - only our heavenly Father can orchestrate such divine appointments - and bless us as we come face to face and share our common bonds ... our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and our love for Southern Gospel Music! As you navigate through the site, it is my prayer that you will enjoy reading the concert, Cd and book reviews, as well as the many other pages we are adding in addition to our photos and videos. May you be encouraged and uplifted by the devotions that are posted and challenged in your personal walk by some of the audio files I have chosen to include within this site. Above all, may the name of our Savior be lifted up and glorified! Blessings, ~ Lynn
