Tribute Quartet – Heart & Soul Video Blog

http://exnihilographics.com/video_blogs/blog_tribute_3-31-11_c.flv

Here are some highlights from the Tribute concert on March 31st.  Some of the clips include:  One Holy Lamb, He Was In Charge, Calvary Wins Again, Josh’s piano solo – Goodbye World, Goodbye, and I’m In That Crowd.  Be sure to enjoy Josh’s story about Gary and going on the Singing At Sea cruise!

GIVE-A-WAY:  I have one size large “I’ve Been Blessed” t-shirt signed by each of the guys (thanks guys!!!) which will be our give-a-way item to the first person who can find the blooper in the video!  Clue number one:  Remember this is in conjunction with the written concert review.  There is a discrepancy between the two … for those who have an eye for detail, let’s see if you can find it!    The first person to post the correct answer in the comments section is the winner!

CLUE NUMBER TWO:
Okay everyone, here’s another clue!  :-)   What you’re looking for is found at the beginning of the post, compare the introduction of the video with the introduction of the written review.  It’s easy to overlook if you aren’t paying attention to details!

I’ll post comments right or wrong as they are received.  Let’s have some FUN!!!

RULES:

1)  The winner will be contacted by email and the correct answer will be posted on the blog once confirmed by the winner.   Make sure you email is current!

2) All comments go through moderation and will be posted in the order received.

3) The winner has 24 hours to respond with their name and address once they have been contacted by email.  If there is no response in 24 hours, the next person with the correct answer will be notified.  Help me help you – be timely! :-)

4) A hold will put on the winning comment until a response is received from the winner.  Should we have multiple persons responding with the correct answer, you will be notified via email the order in which your answer was received.  I will note on the post that we have more than one person with the correct answer and give opportunity for response in the order in which they are received.  Once I am contacted by the winner, the winner and answer will be posted on the blog.

5) Have fun and be a good sport!

About the Author

Lynn
Lynn's Chronicles is an online publication devoted to uplifting the name of Jesus Christ and supporting the industry of Southern Gospel Music! Back in 2005, I was introduced to SGM by my "adopted" grandparents, Ross and Lu, and absolutely fell in love with it! The following year, I attended 47 concerts and traveled as far as 12 hours to hear artists I enjoyed. Since then, my family and friends have encouraged me to share my experiences as I travel around to various venues, so in 2009 Lynn's Chronicles was created. As I have traveled, the Lord in his omniscience has allowed me to meet many of my readers! There's no greater blessing than to sit next to someone at a concert, then find out they are one of my readers - only our heavenly Father can orchestrate such divine appointments - and bless us as we come face to face and share our common bonds ... our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and our love for Southern Gospel Music! As you navigate through the site, it is my prayer that you will enjoy reading the concert, Cd and book reviews, as well as the many other pages we are adding in addition to our photos and videos. May you be encouraged and uplifted by the devotions that are posted and challenged in your personal walk by some of the audio files I have chosen to include within this site. Above all, may the name of our Savior be lifted up and glorified! Blessings, ~ Lynn

They did not state the name of the church correctly. They left out the word General.

  2. We have a WINNER!!! Congratulations to Smoky Mountain Santa for having the first correct answer!

i reallly, really, enjoyed your blogs and videos, please keep me informed of your recent adventures in chroniclizing southern gospel it is so refreshing, it in itself is a ministry to others who are shut in or just not abled to attend the concerts, i myself do go to the concerts , but after today you gave me a wonderful idea, i too will journalize my adventures, thank you lynn! i laughed, cried, prayed, and was refreshed. please could you tell me what gave you the idea? I mean what inspired you? i watched the video and blog on tribute quartet, i laughed and laughed at josh singletary, he is a mess in person is’nt he? all of the guys are very sweet and sincere about God and their ministry. and this site you created is one too. thank you again, Lord bless you in Jesus Name L

    • Hi Linda! ~ Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate hearing from my readers, your comment is of great encouragement to me! Sometimes I wonder if anyone even reads what I write! LOL! I am very excited that you are beginning to journal your adventures also, there are so many precious memories formed at concerts and gospel sings, they should not to be forgotten! :-)
I began blogging because I wanted a way to share with others what this great music is all about – the Lord Jesus! Sharing concert reviews, Cd reviews and other posts is a great way to pass on the blessing and encourage Believers! I am finding when young ppl are given the opportunity to be exposed to SGM, they are really responding favorably! That is so exciting!!! Also, as you mentioned in your comment, some people are closed in or don’t have the opportunity to attend concerts as often as they would like.
Tonight I have the privilege of seeing the Mark Trammell Quartet, Mark Bishop and the Collingsworth Family! – So sometime early next week a concert review should be up! Also, beginning on Palm Sunday (this coming Sunday) I’ll be starting a weeks worth of special Devotionals for Easter with a little SGM twist. (I’m really excited about those!) And Lord willing, next Saturday, Brian Free and Assurance will be close by and I’ll get to attend their concert.
      Thanks again for your support!
      Lynn

Linda’s mention of Josh brought up something funny – when we were recently at the Steve Hurst School of Music, one of my private lessons was with Josh. I asked him to explain some of the things in dealing with how to deal with just having made some glaring mistakes when playing in front of a congregation. So he sat down and played that lively piano solo in the Heart and Soul Video here on Lynn’s site. Having seen this video now countless times, when he started up with that song, I had to wave my finger around, too, like Anthony did in the video, and say to Josh “Faster! Faster!” He laughed, kept on playing, and said “you HAVE been to Tribute concerts, haven’t you!”
It was a great time spent with Josh, and I was so glad I had the opportunity to learn from him.
No, he didn’t speed it up for me. You have to watch the video to see him do that….

    • Thanks Larry, for sharing that special moment! What a hoot! I can just picture it! I had Josh for a private instructor last year and learned a lot from him – he’s a great teacher! Thanks for sharing your experiences at school, it’s not fair that my readers only get to hear my viewpoint of the week, when you guys have so much to share too! Thanks again! Look forward to seeing you at NQC!!!
      Blessings,
      ~Lynn
